Learning Culture

Learning-Centered work culture is important to attract top talent, make your workers succeed in their career and make the business grow.

(Casey, 2015)

It has been noted that the majority of the workers in present organizations want to see their career growth and know that their organization is preparing them for the next position (Gutierrez, 2016).

What is a learning culture?

Basically, a learning culture is a corporate culture that understands learning as an important element for the success of the organization. In a learning culture, education in formal training, informal learning, self-directed learning, etc. are measured for increasing the knowledge, skills, and job performance of employees and of the organization as a whole (Nielson, 2018).
Reynolds (2004) describes a learning culture as a ‘growth medium’, which will ‘encourage employees to commit to a range of positive discretionary behaviors, including learning’ with empowerment not supervision, self-managed learning not instruction, long-term capacity building, not short-term fixes (Armstrong, n.d.).

Building a strong learning culture

Companies who focused on learning know, to get the information to stick and make is useful of employees. Companies may use the following methods to implement this in organizations.

Push it good – When content is pushed it is given to employees at the right time in the right place for them to use it.

Pull it back - empower and encourage employees to learn and organize on their own is to make sure resources are supervised and reachable at all time. Build an archive and ensure that the employees know the way of accessing and how to follow.

This can assist to create learning opportunities, reduce scheduling conflicts and refresh every time employees want in the organization.
Learning organizations provide meaningful learning skills and practices. They offer formal training, informal training, and performance support as well. They perceive training is something combined to daily work experience. They embrace the learning process, to be meaningful to their employee and the organization.

Learning oriented organizations offer a wide variety of training courses, recognizing self-directed learning efforts, and reimbursing employees for earning verified MOOC certificates. They create an environment for their employees to gain new knowledge and skills.
Learning a culture-based organization is very innovative. In innovation excellence, an article of Bradley Bendle identifies information, interpretation, and initiation as three core innovation competencies that organizations with the learning cultures have (Nielson, 2018).

Bersin by Deloitte, 2013 (Lintern, 2014)
The essential factors to drive an organization successful today are meaningful training, the ability to attract talent, innovation. A strong learning culture creates all of them.

Why Corporate social responsibility (CSR)?

Why Corporate social responsibility (CSR)? There is an important message around the world that whatever we do today will have an impact on future generations. We should not think that all the efforts we get to protect ourselves will be enough to protect our children in the future. However, we can make the world for them a better place to live only with very mindful efforts. We always have to address our present needs with the needs of the next generation. And this is the corporate social responsibility (Damithendra, n.d.) . According to WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development) “The continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to sustainable economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society.” This understand that corporate social responsibility is an act of presenting the concern of the organization and the commitment towards the sustainab

Why we need Knowledge workers?

Why we need Knowledge workers? Who are knowledge workers? Peter Drucker has first invented the term “knowledge worker” in his book, The Landmarks of Tomorrow in 1959. He defined high-level workers who apply theoretical and analytical knowledge, acquired through training to develop products and services. He stated that the knowledge workers would be the most valuable assets of a 21st-century organization as their high level of productivity and creativity. They can be professionals in information technology areas such as Programmers, web designers, system analysts, technical writers, and researchers.   Also, this group can include pharmacists, public accountants, engineers, architects, lawyers, physicians, scientists, financial analysts, and design thinkers. Knowledge workers are said to think for a living, not like blue-collar laborers who are paid for carrying out physical tasks. The number of knowledge workers, who are to solve complex problems or to develop new produ
