What is Talent Management?

Talent management is an essential part of the human resource management of an organization. This can be classified as a careful approach implemented to recruit, develop, and retain employees with the required skills or ability to meet present and future objectives and requirements of an organization.

Talent Management is identification of suitably skilled people need for the organization and through a proper selection of people with the necessary abilities and skills for preferred job.
After identification and selection of the suitable kind of people, Talent Management arranges competitive compensation that including attractive pay-package, periodical increment, and health insurance paid leaves, etc. for the employees. The chosen staff is provided with training and regular refreshment programs to match the developing requirements of the organization.
The basic purpose of talent management is to recruit, develop, and retain the best talent in the organization. The HR Department always put their best effort to ensure that high-performing employees with the right skills and qualities retain with the organization for a long time (Anon., n.d.).










Why Talent Management is Important?

In the present Talent management has become an unavoidable management process. Organizations are struggling for best peoples from the job market due to tough competition in every business scopes today (Anon., n.d.).

Most of the companies are now faced with the tight spot of how the talent management should be addressed in today’s global economy where all the organizational leaders are to invest in human capital to fight for the talent shortage (Oladapo, 2014).

Present organizations develop a high-level approach to talent management as a requirement to ensure productivity, profitability, and sustainable growth over time. To be able to successfully develop talent management, organizational leaders use drivers of talent management such as The labor pool, Retention, The risk of self-selection, The effect of hiring on retention.
The talent management process is used to control certain events that each employee experiences in the workplace. The anticipated skills shortage in the coming years is another factor that is driving talent management (Oladapo, 2014).



Talent management refers to the assurance of an organization to hire, manage, develop and retain the talented employees to flourish while retaining and developing an effective and superior workforce. Companies that master talent management will be well-positioned for enduring growth in workforce performance for years to come.
